UT has created several pathway programs for enrollment in the freshman class. These programs expand the admissions options available to talented freshman who we feel would enhance the Longhorn community. For those committed to pursuing a UT Austin education, the UTLA Pathway Program offers an exciting and distinctive opportunity.
A Unique Experience for Adventurous Longhorns
Offered to select students, the UTLA Pathway program starts students’ first semester in Los Angeles, at the UTLA Center in Burbank —then transition to the Austin campus in Spring. A small, select group of students begin their UT Austin journey with a dynamic semester in one of the world’s most exciting cities In Los Angeles, students take small, seminar-style courses that fulfill Moody College requirements, build community with fellow students, and gain mentorship from Longhorns already thriving in LA. It’s a bold, immersive start to a UT college career.
Apply to UT Austin
Students will indicate on their admissions application that they are interested in being considered for the UTLA Pathway Program. Students must apply to Moody College as their first choice major to be considered.
