About Our Students & Our Program
UTLA students come to the program prepared to build professional networks and create lasting relationships with mentors and industry experts. The UTLA program is fortunate to have a robust alumni community that greatly enriches our students’ experience, with over 100 alumni actively participating in the program each year. Alumni volunteers provide valuable mentorship to UTLA students, welcoming them into their workplaces and helping them navigate and explore professional opportunities.
As a proud UTLA alum who regularly mentors, coaches mock interviews and works closely with students, I've seen firsthand how their work ethic, coachability and professionalism set them apart. They enter the industry prepared, collaborative and ready to contribute immediately–the kind of emerging talent I genuinely believe in and fully expect to succeed in the competitive LA entertainment space.
Through my UTLA mentorship I’ve gained entry to industry circles and events that would have otherwise felt out of reach; my mentor opened doors to the experiences I came to Los Angeles for.
