UT has created several pathway programs for enrollment in the freshman class. These programs expand the admissions options available to talented freshman who we feel would enhance the Longhorn community. Offered to select students, the UTLA Pathway program starts students’ first semester in Los Angeles, at the Wofford Denius UTLA Center for Entertainment and Media Studies. A small cohort of Moody College students will take communication coursework, experience Los Angeles, connect with older UT students and alumni and forge a strong bond as Longhorns.Why Los Angeles

The Office of Admissions has created several pathway programs to enrollment. Every year students are reviewed and selected through their application for these pathway programs by the Office of Admissions.
No. Students will be responsible for finding housing. There are several options available and more information can be found here.
Students admitted into the UTLA Pathway Program will take four courses that fulfill Moody College degree requirements.
Yes. Students will attend an orientation with our Academic Advising Team to register for fall courses. During their semester in Los Angeles, students will meet with a Moody Academic Advisor to register for spring courses.

You may submit a housing application to be considered to live on campus in the spring semester. To learn more about housing, please visit https://housing.utexas.edu/housing. Housing is on a first come, first served basis.
No. Students admitted into the UTLA Pathway Program will only attend classes. Internships are not part of this pathway program.
